Jonathan Buckley
Jonathan Buckley was living and performing as an actor in Colorado before he moved to Phoenix, Arizona in February of 2018. He was in search of an acting studio in the phoenix market and found a home at Dearing. Jonathan was born with Cerebral Palsy and has since been on a mission to represent his demographic in film and television. In his training at Dearing, he has worked on sharpening his joyful mindset through engaging exercises and presenting himself with strength and confidence in front of others.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to try an acting class?
Acting is not easy. But if you try hard and work hard, there is a place for you.
What is your “Why” in becoming an actor?
I want to show people that having a disability doesn’t matter……It just matters who you are as a person instead of what your physical limitations are. There are not a lot of actors out there who are in wheelchairs, and there should be, because there are so many people who are not represented.
