Bebe Katsenes

Bebe started with us at thirteen. Over five years she worked her way through the teen program and into the adult classes, thrived in script and improv, moved into the Masterclass scene study, and earned one of the studio internships we give to very few people. Then she went on to study theatre at the University of Southern California. Whenever she’s home she comes back to train, which is the best compliment a studio can get. This Dearing Story is about how she got there.

In Bebe’s words

What has the studio taught you?

“This acting school has taught me to be a more empathetic person. Matthew helped me to not make hasty judgments. The Dearings teach us to love everyone and be respectful of where they are in their own lives.”

Describe your work ethic.

“It’s about falling in love with the work. Then looking in a mirror, realizing what you have already done, and discovering ways to build on that work and make it better. It’s about making acting your day job.”

One word for your experience here?

“Fulfilling. When I’m there I feel artistically fulfilled as a young actress, and emotionally fulfilled by being of service to others.”
