Script

A writer’s job is to write the words. An actor’s job is to bring those words to life.

Or take both.
Two halves of the same pie.

Great script should look and feel like improv. Like you are making it up as you go.

Great improv should look and feel like a play you have rehearsed, memorized and blocked.

The two feed each other, and students who take both grow faster. $370 a month for both, $80 less than separately.

Every quarter closes with a showcase. Every student performs, every student gets a one-on-one evaluation, and families are welcome.

The Masterclass

The deepest work we do. Two full days of scene study, every scene performed and critiqued out loud.

Apply to audition. Or watch a whole weekend from the audience, from $25.

The why

Why there are no levels.

Mastery-level training means the perspective of never-ending growth. A beginner and a working actor can be in the same class, and both leave better. Nobody gets the same note.

Why we teach listening.

Acting is reacting. The skill under every scene is listening at a high level. The same skill is under every conversation you will ever have, with a client, a boss, a spouse, a child.

Why every class is on camera.

We believe in the game tape. The teaching is recorded, the class is recorded, and the recording lives in your private actor portal.

What we care about

Have we helped people land big roles? Yes.

Have famous people trained here? Yes.

Will you be a better actor, if that is your goal? Of course you will.

These outcomes are a byproduct of the training. They are not what we care about.

What we care about is the person.

The impact this training has on you in every area of your life: a better husband, father, employee, boss. Someone who can stand up in a meeting, or stand up for themselves.

When a student tells us they landed the job or signed with an agent, the answer is always the same: of course you did. We expected it. We do not promise it. We know people who do the work and stay consistent are going to find success. They always do.

$225 a month a class, $370 for both. Ages 17 and up.

Is this for me?

“Although I’ve long struggled with a crippling fear of public speaking and performing, I left feeling unexpectedly optimistic about this environment. Update (6 months later): That fear is gone.”

Why we train the way we do

We are the club sports of acting.

Rec league is fun, and it has a purpose. Club is fun too, but the focus is different. Club is where you go to get better.

So the class is built like a set and a stage. Costumes and props come in, scenes get staged, and everyone gets the coaching, lead or not.

The showcase is when the lights come on and you see where you really are. In Improv the group puts up the improvised play, the form the highest level improvisers strive for, and we teach it to everybody.

If you’re quiet.

“Being someone who is naturally reserved and soft spoken. I have felt nothing but welcome at classes.”

Matthew Thompson
If you’re not an actor.

“…you don’t have to be an actor or want to be an actor to benefit from their teaching techniques.”

Janson Lionotis
If your agent sent you.

“I joined mainly because my agent recommended it, but I’m really happy with Brian’s guidance during class. I’ve improved a lot as a commercial actress.”

Diana Quintero
If you’ve done this before, or never.

“It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or an experienced actor this place is a fantastic choice and they really help!”

Alexandra Wilson
If you’re not sure you’ll like it.

“My wife purchased a month of Improv class for me last year. After the first class, I was hooked and I’m going on my 10th month of class.”

Gary Loffman
If you’re figuring out your life.

“Whether you’re in the performing arts, corporate world, or simply just figuring out your life, this studio will help you level up in ways you didn’t know were possible.”

Ashlyn Truelick

“We can always tell when an actor is training with them. Their confidence shines through and we notice an increase in bookings.”
