Zoe was ten when she started with us in November of 2017. Her family found the studio through a write-up on the Scottsdale Moms Blog, and she knew after her first class that this was hers. What the training gave her wasn’t a career plan at ten; it was confidence, new doors in the arts, and the push to keep growing. Here’s her Dearing Story.
In Zoe’s words
How has the studio influenced you outside of class?
“I think I’ve gained a lot of confidence from this studio. I was able to show my personality more.”
How has it changed the way you think about growing?
“At first I was scared to do things I enjoyed doing. I was worried people might judge me. I realized that it really doesn’t matter what people think, as long as I’m having fun.”
How would you describe the studio?
“I would have to describe it as a blessing. If I didn’t come to Dearing, I wouldn’t have learned about self-confidence and opening up to others. Even if it’s not acting that someone is nervous to try, this place is so much more than acting.”
It doesn’t matter what people think, as long as you’re having fun. Most adults pay a lot of money to learn that. Zoe had it at ten.
