Josh Lind

Josh is from Atlanta, a competitive drift racer, a percussionist and an actor, which means he has quite literally drifted through more walks of life than most people in the room. He came to the studio with zero expectations and let the process work on him. In this Dearing Story we talked about vulnerability, and about the run of experiences that brought him through the door.

In Josh’s words

What brought you to the studio?

“In 2016 I had a two-person production team follow me around for a year of competition racing. I talked them into letting me write and direct skits along with the racing, and I realized I’d fallen in love with creating content and the whole process around production.”

How has the studio changed how you think?

“Learning how important foundation blocks are to your process. It has been so great for the technical side of me to dive into analysis and find the artistic side of me.”

How would you describe the studio?

“The first word that came to mind is exhausting. Exhausting in the way that you have a hard day at work but you know you accomplished something. Exhausting in the way that you’re so tired, but rewarded, from loving the work.”

I’ll take exhausting. It’s the most honest review we’ve had.

Your next step

Exhausting, the way a good day's work is.
