Since the days of Arizona’s Old Tuscan Studios and the film Tombstone Arizona has put itself on the map as a launching point for actor to transition from Arizona to Los Angeles.
Arizona offers transitioning actors and film makers some of the most diverse landscapes and climates in the nation. Only here can you put on a swimsuit, drive 2 hours to go skiing, and then finish your day by soaking in the wonders of the Grand Canyon.
As one of the fastest growing cities in the nation and being home to world renown Companies such as GoDaddy and Honeywell commercial acting is plentiful as well.
The Arizona Arts community is filled with theaters, Acting Schools, film schools, independent film makers, Acting Agents and Casting Directors.
The trip to Los Angeles can be tough, but actors can do themselves a favor by launching a career in a growing acting community, take a couple years of acting classes, get on stage, put together a legitimate demo reel etc. If you move to LA with these tools in your pocket plus some extra cash (due to your cost of living savings) we are sure that you too can make the transition from Arizona to Los Angeles.
Read below a note from the Arizona based Acting School, Dearing Acting Studio, student…
Hello- My name is Anna Marie Castaneda, and I just wanted to send a huge thank you to your acting studio, especially Brian Sweeney. I enrolled in the Audition Emergency course to prepare for an audition for the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. I needed help with stage fright and nerves, as well as just getting back into the swing of craft. I went to my audition confident, positive, and prepared. I am pleased to inform that I did get accepted into AMDA and will be relocating to Los Angeles in October to begin school there. Thank you so much for all your help and great teachings!!!!! Dearing ROCKS!!!!
