Lights. Camera. Action! Valley students will be experiencing the thrill of a Hollywood set, right here in the Valley of the Sun -- and you're invited to join them! Dearing Acting Studio is, once again, hosting Valleywood – a week long camp where student participants will film, produce and star in a motion picture -- The Simulation: A Matrix Parody.

“ Valleywood is one of a kind as graduates learn: auditioning skills, on-set etiquette, film technique, behind the scenes production, speech writing and public speaking,” said Matthew Dearing, Dearing Acting School Founder. “Our Valleywood Movie Camp is the longest running movie camp in the state of Arizona – we’ve been producing these movies since 2007.”

 

Registration is currently open and interested students are encouraged to register soon as space is limited. Filming will take place at Dearing Acting Studio in North Phoenix.

Open to budding stars aged 11 and up, Valleywood starts on Monday, January 1st and wraps up on Friday, January 5th with a red carpet premiere of the movie students worked on all week. They also walk away with IMDB credit (a necessary tool for a future career on the silver screen), footage for a demo reel, and credit for their resume.
