Arizona Headshots and Photographers

Leeann Dearing

Hey actors!

A question we get asked all the time at the studio is “Where can I find good head shots?”

Lucky for Arizona locals, there are some phenomenal local photographers who will give you a beautiful result! There are lots of photographers we recommend, and we’re always adding to the list as we discover new ones! Do you have a favorite person to shoot with? Leave their information in the comments! Here are a few folks to check out for Arizona Headshots.

These aren’t listed in any particular order. Any of these folks will do an absolutely amazing job for you.(We’ve shot with many of them on different occasions…headshots, facility pictures, wedding, family Christmas cards. If they’re on the list…we love ’em.)

1) Byron Medina Photography – http://www.headshotsaz.com

2 looks for $300. Byron is a versatile and talented photographer (Fashion, Commercial, Headshots.) Sylvia Medina, his wife, is fantastic with hair + makeup if you’re considering that. (You should.) They’re a marvelous team!

2) Brad Reed Photography – http://www.bradreedphotography.com

Take a spin through the “Headshots” page on his site. Brad’s work is just beautiful. Bonus: He works on both sides of the camera (FORD model/actor), so he understands how to flatter his subject. Use the contact page on his website for rates and bookings!

3) Leah Hope Photography –  http://leahhopephotography.com

A highly skilled, patient photographer. She’s also a great value! $350 for a session, which includes 50+ edited images. I recently shot some photos with her, and let me tell ya…girl knows her way around natural light.

4) Dream Photography Studio – http://www.dreamphotographystudio.com

I just discovered this talented lady on Facebook, and I’m a fan! $299 is a session fee that includes 10 edited, enhanced images. Check out her website. (The Babies + Bellies gallery is too fantastic!)

5) Brenna Heater Photography – www.BrennaHeaterPhotography.com

Brenna is a dear friend, and another photographer who works on both sides of the camera. (She’s a Ford Model/Actress.)  Another bonus? She offers hair and makeup services to keep you looking fantastic. Check out her “Headshots” gallery – Beautiful, classic photographs that will work for you in a number of settings.

$175 / 30 minute session, one outfit change and 4 digital perfected images.

6) Diana Elizabeth Photography –  http://dianaelizabethblog.com/the-portrait-gallery/

Diana is an Agency Arizona model/actress, and a very gifted photographer. Her knowledge of posing means you’re going to look your best. Her work has been seen in Phoenix Magazine, Arizona Republic, Grey Likes Baby, Onto Baby, The Hostess Blog, Gilt, and Emmaline Bride.  Her editorial eye is what makes her photography so remarkable. Her work feels truly special and unique.

Visit her gallery to see some lovely samples! $300/session.

7) Jacqulyn Currey – http://jacqulyncurrey.com

Jacqulyn’s work is fresh and fun! She recently shot our fabulous Sarah Harvey. (How adorable is she? She looks like a millennial Audrey Hepburn.)

8) Kimberly Jarman  –  KimberlyJarman.net

This lady is near and dear to my heart as she was our wedding photographer! Wildly talented. Prices vary, depending on who you shoot with. (She has several associate photographers who work with her.)

9) Herriman Photography  – http://herrimanphotography.zenfolio.com

Greg Herriman has a wonderful eye, with a particular talent for capturing action. If you’re seeking fitness/action shots for your portfolio, Greg’s experience allows him to anticipate what may happen to capture the right moment.  Another rewarding component of Greg’s portfolio is photographing kids with special needs. A tireless volunteer for Special Olympics, his photos capture the true spirit of athletic effort and teamwork.

Who are your favorite photographers in the valley? Let us know! We’re always looking to give talent lots of options.

If you’re signed with an agency, also check with them. They may have a photographer referral for you too!

Hope this helps!!! Now all you have to decide is what to wear. (Which deserves another post all by itself, right?)

See you next time!
